LIGHT
TELLS THE
TRUTH.

Paint correction, coating and finish restoration. Every panel is inspected under controlled light and logged before a machine touches the clearcoat — so the quote is built from the defect map, not from a guess.

Fictional studio concept. No vehicles are booked, no client work or results are shown, and nothing on this page is sent anywhere.

01 — FINISH STUDY

Every defect
is a shadow.

Swirl marks are not dirt. They are geometry: thousands of shallow trenches cut into the clearcoat that scatter a point light back at your eye as a halo. Correction levels that geometry. The only honest way to show it is to move the light — so this study lets you do exactly that.

Reveal at 50%. Left 50% as received, right 50% corrected.

Illustrative finish study. Both halves are synthetic surface visualisations drawn with CSS gradients: the swirl halo is generated from the light-source position, not photographed from a vehicle. No client result is shown or implied.

Indicative surface measurements

Illustrative figures for this concept. Real readings depend on the paint system, the meter and the panel.

02 — INSPECTION MAP

The quote starts
with the panel.

Tap a zone to log what the light shows. The map is a generic schematic, not a specific model — it exists to price the work honestly, because a bonnet baked flat by the sun is not the same job as a door with light marring.

Click, tap or focus a zone and press Enter to cycle: clear → light → moderate → heavy.

Severity key

  • CLEAR — no correctable defect logged
  • LIGHT — fine marring, single-pass polish
  • MOD — swirls and wash marks, cut and refine
  • HEAVY — deep scratching, oxidation or holograms

Each state carries its own text label as well as a colour, so the log does not depend on colour vision.

No defects logged yet. Log a few zones and the suggestion will follow the light.

The sample log is invented demonstration data for this concept, not a record of any vehicle.

03 — BUILD YOUR QUOTE

04 — QUOTE PREVIEW

See it written up.

This builds a formatted quote from your selections and prints it below, in this tab. There is no inbox behind it: nothing is submitted, stored or transmitted, and no address or number is collected for a real studio.

Demo only. Your details stay in this page and are cleared when you close the tab.

05 — METHOD

Four stages.
One standard.

  1. 01

    Intake and measurement

Paint thickness readings, the zone log above, and photographs of every defect we intend to remove — recorded before any product touches the car.

  2. 02

    Decontamination

Contact-minimised wash, iron and tar removal, mechanical decontamination. Most marring is put into paint during washing, so this is where the job is won or lost.

  3. 03

    Correction under light

Machine work in sections, checked under raking, flood and single-point light between passes. We stop at the point where more cut costs more clearcoat than the gain is worth.

  4. 04

    Protection and handover

Panel wipe, coating application, controlled cure, then a walk-around under the same lights used for the inspection so you see the finish the way we measured it.

06 — STANDARDS

What we measure.

A studio that cannot measure its own work is guessing. These are the readings behind every quote on this page.

Clearcoat thickness

Readings per panel before and after. Correction removes microns you cannot put back, so the film build sets the ceiling on how far a stage can go.

Gloss and DOI

Gloss units answer “how bright”. Distinctness of image answers “how sharp” — the number that actually tracks what your eye calls a mirror finish.

Defect depth

Under magnification, a scratch that catches a fingernail is below the safe correction window. It gets refined, not chased.

Planning ranges chosen for this fictional concept, not manufacturer claims or a warranty. Real service life depends on the product, the preparation and how the car is washed.
