Websites for owner-run local businesses

Your work looks better than your website does.

I fix that before asking you to buy anything. You get an unlisted mobile-first concept built from verified business details. If you love it, I expand it into your 5-page Growth site and put it live.

How it works

First, I show you.

No pitch deck. No mystery deposit. You judge the actual design on your phone before deciding whether Ship With Code is worth paying for.

I build the concept

An unlisted mobile-first concept using verified business details only.

You confirm the content

You confirm your services and content, and provide or approve any photos or review quotes.

I finish and launch it

The approved concept becomes the 5-page Growth site on your customer-owned domain.

The work

Open the sites.

These are fictional illustrative concepts, not client claims. They show the design and mobile standard. Your concept starts with sourced facts, then becomes yours after you approve the content.

Good fit

Built for the owner answering the phone.

This is deliberately small and focused. It works best for local service businesses where the quality of the actual work has outrun the quality of the website.

A sharper front door for a business people already trust.

The goal is simple: make it obvious what you do, where you work, and how to call you. No marketing theatre. No giant project before you can see the result.

  • Owner-run local service business
  • Real reputation and current work
  • Calls or quote requests matter
  • Current site is weak, broken or missing
Simple pricing

One price. No fog.

One month-to-month price. Cancel by email; service continues through the paid billing period, then the managed site comes down while your domain stays yours. You see the concept first and pay nothing until the finished site is live and you are happy.

5 pages

The concept and design you saw, expanded to 5 pages after you confirm services and content, with service-area coverage and a monthly report of directional tap-to-call clicks.

Matt Fehrsen, founder

You email me. I answer.

I'm a software engineering student and the founder of Ship With Code. It's a small, software-driven studio with no sales team or account managers. That lean setup is how we keep the Growth site at $149 a month.

When you email, it comes directly to me.

Straight answers

What you probably want to ask.

The offer only works if the boring details are clear up front.

Seriously — what's the catch?

There isn't one, but here's the honest version: we invest the work up front to create an unlisted concept before asking you to buy. If you don't want it, we delete it and move on. You pay nothing for the concept.

Who owns the website and the domain?

Your domain stays in your name, always — we never hold it hostage. The site itself is a managed service: while you subscribe, it's yours and we maintain, update and edit it. If you cancel, the site comes down but your domain goes with you.

What happens if I cancel?

You email us — no penalties and no "retention department". Service continues through the paid billing period, then the managed site comes down. Your domain stays yours to point anywhere.

Are there setup fees or contracts?

No setup fee, no contract. $0 until the site is live on your domain and you're happy. Then $149/mo, month to month.

What edits are included?

Routine text, photos, prices, services, and staff changes are scheduled as part of your managed service. Whole-site redesigns and new pages beyond your plan are quoted fairly, up front.

Want to see your business rebuilt?

Send me the business name. I'll tell you whether it is a fit and, if it is, build the concept before you spend a dollar.
